Drake Congratulates Rihanna With Billboard, Rihanna Responds

Earlier today, “Black-ish” actress Yara Shahidi tweeted a picture of a billboard with a message from Drake to Rihanna. “Congratulations to Rihanna from Drake and Everyone at OVO,” it read. The message was most likely applauding Rihanna’s selection as the Video Vanguard Award recipient at the upcoming MTV VMAs, which will be held this Sunday. Hours later, Rihanna responded to the message on Instagram, reposting the photo and adding the caption “When he extra❤🏆!!!” Find both posts below.
The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award is the highest honor given at the VMAs. Past recipients include Kanye West, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Beastie Boys, Britney Spears, Madonna, and of course, Michael Jackson.
